Camera Settings

To display the camera properties, select the camera and hit p or the properties button at the bottom of your screen
In the lecture of week 11, many of these properties were discussed. The PDF can be found on Blackboard
Camera Type
- Advanced Camera - A camera with a plethora of extra options. Enables you to simulate real camera lenses, for instance.
- Classic Camera - The only camera available in older versions of Lightwave
- Orthographic Camera - like orthographic viewports, it views the image along parallel rays
- Perspective Camera - Optimized version of the Classic Camera
- Surface Baking Camera - Allows you to bake shaded and lighted surfaces into texturemaps (Renders an image in UV space)
Viewing Angle
Lens Focal Length, Zoom Factor and Field of View (FOV) are all different representations of the same property and determines if you are using a wide (fisheye) or small (telephoto) angle of view
Render Settings
Most of the other setting you probably recognize from the render panel. You can set these properties per camera, but if you are just using one camera, you might as well check the box Use Global and manage all these (like resolution) from the Render Globals
